Italiakids.com was established by Shannon Venable in April 2008 to provide a centralized, informational online resource for international families traveling to or living in Italy. As an academic editor specializing in Europe and director of Arte al Sole, an educational summer program for international children in Tuscany, Italiakids.com founder Shannon Venable found that parents abroad were increasingly contacting her for tips on finding the networks of information and friendships so essential to daily family life. As a busy mother herself, Venable set out to create a go-to online publication that would provide parents and kids with all the resources they need, all in one place!
Milan editor Rebecca Borgioli has thirteen years of experience in the fields of elementary and higher education, during which she taught at the American School of Milan from 2000 to 2006.
